While containing many books, it tells one grand story of God’s activity and plan to restore His creation to its original design. It was written by human authors through the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible: We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily ( 2 Corinthians 3:17, John 14:16-17, 16:7-13, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18). He also distributes spiritual gifts to every believer for the building up of the Church and the spread of the Gospel.

He provides every believer with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in following God. He lives in every Christian from the moment of conversion. He is present in the world to convict people of their sin and to open people’s minds and hearts to the Gospel. The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He ascended to the Father’s right hand in Heaven and will return again to restore His creation, reward His people, and judge the world ( Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-20, 14:10-30, Hebrews 1, 4:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:1-7, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13). He rose three days later conquering sin and death.

We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. Jesus: We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and co-equal with the Father. These three are co-equal and are one God ( Genesis 1, 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14). He has eternally existed in three persons (the Trinity): the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God: We believe in one God who is the creator and ruler of the universe. In addition to the brief statement below, we affirm The Baptist Faith and Message. Our Statement of Faith summarizes essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and guards the church from error. We believe it necessary to set forth in a concise fashion the cornerstone truths of our church as guided by Scripture. From the time of the Apostles to today, Christians have laid out doctrine (beliefs) in brief, definitive statements.
